Personal Thoughts:
This early Custom Shop reissue of the iconic 1961 Les Paul SG is a fantastic blend of vintage vibe and Custom Shop quality. The Faded Cherry finish has aged beautifully, paired with light VOS treatment for a soft, broken-in look and feel.
The slim '60s neck is super fast and comfortable, offering effortless playability whether you're ripping leads or playing intricate rhythm work. Paired with a lightweight mahogany body and the always-reliable '57 Classics, this SG has a warm, punchy tone with just the right amount of bite and clarity.
These early Custom Shop SGs are becoming more sought after, especially with the Les Paul branding on the headstock—just like the originals from that transitional era.
 
Condition Report:
This 2006 SG Reissue is in very good condition overall. There are a few minor impressions and light signs of use, but nothing major—no breaks, repairs, or heavy wear. The finish and frets are in great shape, and all electronics are working as they should.
